the name means noodle. the cards mean everything.

Hi, I'm Nina.
La nouille studio started in 2024 because I kept reaching for a card that didn't exist —
something that felt genuinely beautiful and genuinely honest at the same time. Something that could be sentimental without being syrupy, or funny without being lazy. I kept settling for close enough. So I stopped settling and started designing.
The name? La nouille is French for noodle — which was my childhood nickname. Nini Noodle. As a kid, I saved every card I ever received. Birthday cards, holiday cards, random just-because cards. I loved having a tangible, hold-in-your-hands reminder that someone had been thinking of me. That feeling never left. Giving this studio a piece of my own story felt right — with a little fancy French twist, obviously.
I believe greeting cards are one of the most underrated forms of connection. They're small and physical and permanent in a way that a text message never will be. But I also think they were overdue for a refresh — more personality, more beauty, more of the real stuff.
That's what la nouille is here for. Our cards range from sentimental to snarky, because life calls for both. They're made for real occasions and real relationships — not the Hallmark version of either.
I run this studio from Connecticut, where I live with my husband and five wonderfully chaotic children: two boys (5 and 6), a baby girl who just turned one, and two stepdaughters (12 and 17). My day job is in marketing insights, which means I think a lot about what makes people feel seen — and try to put that into every card we make.
This is my creative corner. The place where I get to make beautiful things for the people in your life who deserve them. I'm so glad you're here.
-Nina
